1.Delhi CM Launches Next-Gen Hospital Information Management System to Digitize Healthcare
โ€‹

Delhi CM has launched a next-generation Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) to digitize the cityโ€™s healthcare network. The system integrates 20 digital modules including electronic medical records, OPD/IPD registration, diagnostics, and pharmacy management, connecting hospitals, doctors, and patients on one platform. Alongside HIMS, the CM inaugurated 34 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs for primary care and 8 Jan Aushadhi Kendras to provide affordable medicines. Over 93 lakh ABHA IDs have been created to support digital health records, marking a major step towards a transparent, paperless, and connected healthcare ecosystem in Delhi.

2.Future of Fertility: Babies Born with DNA from Three Individuals Mark a New Era in Reproductive Medicine

โ€‹

Scientists in the UK have achieved a breakthrough in fertility care with the birth of eight babies conceived using DNA from three individuals through mitochondrial donation treatment (MDT). The technique replaces faulty maternal mitochondria with healthy donor mitochondria to prevent severe inherited diseases while preserving the parents' nuclear DNA. This innovation offers hope for families affected by rare genetic disorders and represents a major leap in assisted reproduction. Experts stress the need for ethical oversight and regulatory frameworks as the technology advances and potentially expands to countries like India.

3.NMC Issues New Guidelines on Live Surgery Broadcasts: 8 Key Points Every Doctor Should Know

โ€‹

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued strict guidelines for live surgery broadcasts to protect patient safety and prevent commercial exploitation. The rules highlight limited educational value of live surgeries compared to recorded videos, mandate full patient consent, ban promotional use, and require prior regulatory approval and indemnity insurance. The NMC recommends recorded, simulation-based, and cadaveric training as safer alternatives. These guidelines aim to ensure ethical practices while maintaining high standards in surgical education.

Why Online Ratings Matter More Than Word of Mouth Today

โ€‹

In todayโ€™s digital age, most patients trust online reviews more than what friends or family say.
โ€‹

1) Available Anytime โ€“ Patients can check reviews 24/7, unlike word of mouth.

2) More Voices โ€“ 100+ patient reviews offer better insights than just one opinion.

3) Verified and Transparent โ€“ Platforms like Google and Practo verify reviews.

4) Photos & Videos Build Trust โ€“ Visuals help patients feel confident before visiting.

5) Trusted Platforms โ€“ Google, Justdial, Practo, etc., already have patient trust.

6) Easy Comparisons โ€“ Patients can compare clinics by rating, fees, and distance.

7) Negative Reviews Matter โ€“ Patients avoid clinics with repeated complaints.

8) Better Visibility โ€“ More stars mean your clinic ranks higher on search engines.

9) Quick Decisions โ€“ Star ratings are easier to understand than vague praise.

10) Feedback Drives Growth โ€“ Reviews help improve services and show you care.

โ€‹
๐Ÿ‘‰ Keep your online presence active and updated.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Encourage happy patients to leave reviews.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Respond professionally to both praise and complaints.

Quote from Legends in medicine and entrepreneurship

โ€‹

โ€‹

โ€‹

โ€‹

Brief:
โ€‹
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey is a self-help book that teaches simple but powerful habits to become more successful in both personal and professional life.
โ€‹
The first three habits focus on self-mastery: being proactive, setting clear goals, and prioritizing what matters most. The next three habits help build strong relationships: thinking win-win, listening to understand others, and working well together.
โ€‹
The final habit is about continuous growth and self-care. Covey explains that lasting success comes from building character, taking responsibility, and always striving to improve.
