1. Medical Representatives Banned from Meeting Doctors in Govt Hospitals: A Step Toward Ethical Healthcare

The Government of India has banned medical representatives from meeting doctors in central government hospitals to prevent disruptions and curb unethical pharma-doctor interactions. The DGHS has directed hospitals to allow only digital communication (like emails) for drug updates. This move aims to ensure doctors focus more on patient care, especially in hospitals serving poor and rural communities, and aligns with the Uniform Code for Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices (UCPMP) introduced earlier.

2. AI Takes Centre Stage at AIIMS Patna: Transforming Patient Care and TB Detection

Vgenomics, a Delhi-based biotech company, has partnered with Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital to develop a painless, tear-based test for early detection of keratoconus, a progressive eye disease. The new biomarker VSP-2224, found in tears, can identify the disease before symptoms appear, using AI-powered technology. This breakthrough is set to improve diagnosis and treatment outcomes. A new diagnostic kit called OcuTear is also in development. Featured by The Doctorpreneur Academy, this innovation highlights the growing role of health-tech entrepreneurship in transforming patient care.

Brief:

Shoe Dog is the true story of how Phil Knight, the co-founder of Nike, built one of the world’s most famous sports brands from scratch.

The book starts with Phil as a young man, unsure about his future. He takes a big risk by borrowing $50 from his father to start a small business selling Japanese running shoes. Over time, that small company grows into Nike.

The book shares all the ups and downs: money problems, legal battles, business failures, and personal struggles. Phil talks openly about how hard and uncertain the journey was.

But with passion, strong teamwork, and belief in their product, Phil and his small team turned a dream into a global brand.
