The Punjab government has agreed to deploy 24x7 security guards from the Punjab Ex-Servicemen Corporation (PESCO) at all government hospitals to protect doctors and medical staff, especially at facilities handling medico-legal cases. This decision follows repeated concerns raised by the Punjab Civil Medical Services Association (PCMSA) over rising incidents of violence against healthcare workers. The proposal is awaiting final approval from the Finance Department and is expected to be cleared within 2–3 weeks. The move aims to improve safety and working conditions for doctors across the state.

4.Four Diabetes Drug Combinations Banned by CDSCO for Patient Safety

The CDSCO has banned four fixed dose combinations (FDCs) commonly used to treat Type 2 diabetes, including combinations of Metformin, Glimepiride, Voglibose, and Dapagliflozin. These were licensed by State Authorities without proper approval from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI), violating the NDCT Rules, 2019. The ban aims to protect public health from unsafe, unverified drug combinations. All doctors and pharmacies have been directed to stop using and distributing these FDCs immediately.

The Health Ministry of India has banned the use of the fixed dose combination (FDC) of Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Phenylephrine Hydrochloride for children under 4 years of age, effective from April 15, 2025. The decision follows expert panel reviews highlighting safety risks in this age group. Manufacturers must now include a clear warning on labels and promotional materials stating: “Fixed dose combination shall not be used in children below four years of age.” Non-compliance may lead to regulatory action, ensuring safer cold and allergy treatment options for young children.

7.Haryana MBBS Bond Policy: 5-Year Government Service or ₹25.77 Lakh Penalty

The Haryana Government has enforced a Service Incentive Bond Policy for MBBS students admitted to government and government-aided medical colleges. From the 2020–21 session onwards, students must either serve in government health services for 5 years after MBBS or pay a penalty—₹25.77 lakh for male and ₹23.19 lakh for female students at government colleges. For MAMC Agroha, the bond amount is slightly lower. The bond functions as a collateral-free loan, repaid by the government if the candidate joins public service. Students can also repay the amount in installments or lump sum if they choose not to serve. The policy aims to strengthen public healthcare and ensure availability of trained doctors across the state.

🤖 4 Common Roadblocks to AI Adoption in Healthcare

(How to Beat Them!)

AI can transform healthcare — but it’s not always a smooth ride. 🚑

Here’s what usually gets in the way (and how to handle it):

🔹 1. Lack of Trust
👉 People are nervous about AI.
Fix: Start with safe uses like summarizing notes, and build trust step by step.

🔹 2. Accuracy Concerns
👉 Wrong data = wrong results.
Fix: Always have humans monitor AI and double-check its work.

🔹 3. Staff Training Gaps
👉 Fear comes from not knowing how AI works.
Fix: Train your teams clearly, set smart policies, and manage expectations.

🔹 4. Intellectual Property Issues
👉 Who owns AI-created content?
Fix: Follow legal guidelines. Treat AI output as drafts, not final versions.

✅ A strong AI policy, regular training, and smart use cases can make AI safer and more powerful for healthcare.

The Doctorpreneur Academy:
Quote from Legends in medicine and entrepreneurship

Brief:

High Output Management is a practical guide on how to be a great manager, written by Andy Grove, former CEO of Intel. The book explains that a manager’s main job is to help their team be more productive—this is what “high output” means.

Grove uses easy-to-understand examples (like running a breakfast restaurant) to explain how managers can improve systems, solve problems, and make smart decisions. He talks about the importance of setting clear goals, giving feedback, holding effective meetings, and measuring performance.

One of the key ideas is that a manager’s success is measured not by how much they do themselves, but by how much they help others get done. Good managers train, guide, and remove roadblocks so their teams can perform their best.

💡 Stay Original in the Age of AI: Your Creativity Is Your Power

AI can write emails, summarize documents, and search fast — but it can’t think like you.

Generative AI is smart, but it often repeats old ideas. It’s trained on existing content, which means it copies and reshuffles — not truly creates. And if we rely on it too much, we may start thinking like machines ourselves. 😬

So how do we stay original?

🔹 1. Let your own mind lead.
Use AI for routine tasks, but keep creative thinking for yourself.

🔹 2. Don’t think like a bot.
Avoid copying AI’s patterns — let your voice and ideas shine through.

🔹 3. Be unpredictable.
Break the mold. Your quirks and bold ideas are what make you stand out.

✅ Use AI as your assistant, not your brain.
Originality is your edge. In a world full of machine-made content, human creativity is more valuable than ever.
