1. Kerala Launches Free Growth Hormone Therapy Under KARE Scheme

Kerala has launched free growth hormone therapy under the KARE (Kerala United Against Rare Diseases) scheme to support children with growth hormone deficiency and Turner syndrome. Announced on World Rare Disease Day, this initiative ensures early detection and expert treatment at SAT Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, now a Centre of Excellence for Rare Diseases. The treatment, which costs lakhs, is now available at no charge. The KARE project also provides Enzyme Replacement Therapy (ERT) and supports 100 children with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). This step marks significant progress in rare disease care in Kerala.

2. Gastro-Resistant and Delayed-Release Drugs Now Classified as ‘New Drugs’ by CDSCO

The CDSCO has classified Gastro-Resistant Tablets/Capsules and Delayed-Release Tablets/Capsules as ‘New Drugs’ under Rule 2(1)(w) of the New Drugs and Clinical Trials Rules, 2019 to ensure uniform regulation and patient safety. Pharmaceutical companies must now conduct clinical trials, provide bioequivalence studies, and obtain fresh approval before marketing these formulations. This move aims to prevent regulatory loopholes, enhance drug safety, and ensure better efficacy. Doctors should ensure they prescribe CDSCO-approved drugs, and patients must be aware of this new classification for safer medication use.

3. Prescription Audit Alert: Doctors in Andhra Pradesh Must Follow NMC Generic Drug Norms

The Director of Medical Education (DME) in Andhra Pradesh has instructed government doctors to prescribe medicines using generic names, as per NMC guidelines. Hospitals must now monitor prescriptions and conduct audits every two months to ensure compliance. Non-compliance could lead to license suspension for up to 30 days. However, doctors and the IMA have raised concerns about the quality of generic drugs, as only 0.1% are tested for safety. Due to strong opposition, the Health Ministry has put the rule on hold, but doctors are still encouraged to follow the guidelines.

4. How Much Stipend Do DNB, DrNB, and FNB Trainees Get? Check NBE Guidelines

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has set mandatory stipend guidelines for DNB, DrNB, and FNB trainees in accredited hospitals. Stipends vary by course and training year, with Post MBBS DNB trainees earning ₹35,000–₹39,000 per month, DrNB and FNB trainees earning ₹41,000–₹45,000 per month. Private and government hospitals must follow NBEMS guidelines or State Government policies, whichever provides a higher stipend. Hospitals must also cover trainees' pay during rotational postings. Medical trainees should check stipend policies before joining and report any violations

5. . Maharashtra Mandates White Aprons for All Health Science Professionals

The Maharashtra Medical Education Department has made it mandatory for all medical professionals, students, and faculty in allopathy, dentistry, ayurveda, and homeopathy institutions to wear white aprons. The white apron helps patients easily recognize healthcare professionals, promotes professionalism, and builds trust in medical settings. Aprons must be clean, neatly worn, and fully buttoned. Non-compliance will lead to verbal and written explanations. This rule applies to 46 medical institutions across Maharashtra, ensuring a more organized and patient-friendly healthcare system.

6. Biometric Attendance to Be Mandatory for Healthcare Staff in Maharashtra

From April 1, 2025, Maharashtra will mandate biometric attendance for all government healthcare staff to ensure accountability and staff availability. Salaries will only be paid based on biometric records, and registration must be completed by March 31, 2025. While the move aims to improve patient care and reduce absenteeism, healthcare staff have raised concerns about workload and staff shortages, urging the government to hire more doctors. An online training workshop was scheduled for March 7, 2025, to help staff understand the system.

Your Brand Colors Matter More Than You Think! 🎨

Colors aren’t just for looks—they influence emotions, behaviors, and decisions. Designers choose colors intentionally to shape how people feel about a brand.

Here’s what common colors evoke:
💚 Green – Growth & Wellness
🦋 Blue – Trust & Honesty
◼️ Black – Prestige & Mystery
🍊 Orange – Ambition & Innovation
🌸 Pink – Compassion & Playfulness
🐥 Yellow – Happiness & Friendliness
🟣 Purple – Creativity & Intrigue
🍎 Red – Thrill & Power

Instead of picking random colors, ask yourself:
✔️ What feeling do I want my customers to have?
✔️ What colors align with my brand identity?
✔️ How do I want my brand to be perceived?

Your brand colors tell a story—make sure they tell the right one! 🎯
